[tomsrtbt] Kernel panic

I am attempting to install tomsrtbt on an elderly intel 33Mhz 486,
32Mb RAM


the last four lines on screen, and it looks as though I have nearly
reached the end of the trail:

Partition check:
 hda: hda1
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 518
Kernel panic: Free list corrupted

Can anyone assist?
