Hello,
A friend has a laptop with a bad sector in drive c, so I'm using toms rescue linux
diskette to get access to the hard drive and a PC Card to save his data off to the
network.
The problem I've run into is that after typing 'pcmcia start', I get a lot of
indications that the network card is working but ping attempts fail.
The pcmcia script identifies the card as NetGear FA410txc. Upon loading pcnet_cs, it
states:
eth0: NE2000 compatible: io 0x300, irq 9, hwddr ...
I just run manual command of 'ifconfig' and then 'route add -net ...'
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
