The lilo should either work, or not work, and the 259 has been tested and does work for some people and for me. So, I would say, revisit the process you used to create the CDs and ISO filesystems- see if maybe you did something differently > I have a question because I don't kow about the specs of eltorito. > > Are the images taken from 2.88 disk the same as the one we use for the > diskette-tomsrtbt or are they modified for working with the cdrom? It is modified to put everything in an initrd and not try to read the floppy. The normal one assumes /dev/fd0 which isn't there under CD. > And if not, could I drag an image from a 1.44 floppy and burn it on CD. > Would that be sensefull? Well, the normal tomsrtbt is a 1.72 floppy, which doesn't work at all on a bootable CD, period the end. If it WAS 1.44, it would work, *if* it doesn't attempt to read /dev/fd0, but does everything under from the initrd. -Tom
