I think this is something with the 2.0.x IDE/ATAPI drivers having problems
with the DVD-ROM, probably it only knows about CD-ROMS and tries to read
the whole DVD-ROM as a hard drive? Try it with a CD in the drive... The
best workaround would be to drop a 2.2.19 kernel onto it with buildit.s.
