Yes, there are easy steps:

1) First, get a 4-year batchelors degree with a major in computer science.
(I recommend a minor in ethics or criminal law). There are no shortcuts.

2) Second, get a master's degree in computer science. At the same time,
start saving up money for bail and lawyers, probably working part time.

3) Read all the RFC's and documentation for all the mail systems and
technologies (start with SMTP, POP, IMAP, MIME, LDAP, DNS, but don't
forget the non-internet mail technologies such as X400 or whatever.
You'll need to become expert in spoofing, sniffing, root exploits,
and the internals of various operating systems such as Windows NT,
Unix, VMS, MVS, and Mac-OS. Spend about 2 years on this phase, of
course employed in the communications industry. Try to also learn
about Cisco routers and Novell Lans and Microsoft Networking. Try to
save up all your earnings, again, assuming you'll spend a lot of your
normal earning years in a rat infested disease ridden pit somewhere.

4) Go ahead an take a couple of years of legal studies. I dunno what
country you live in, but here in the USA reading other people's mail
is illegal, and, as Winston Churchill said, "Gentelmen don't read other
Gentlemen's mail", so I guess other countries probably look dimly on it.

5) Please let me know how you are doing, and make sure to include your
full name, address, and any other identifying information that might
help in locating you. Let me know whose email account you are trying
to break into, what your reasons are, and what methods you used. Also,
please provide all of this to me in writing.

-Thanks
