OK, I will give it a shot.

Sorry for being such a newbie but I have little experience with fdisk (and
could not find specific instructions in the man page) and so will try
to dip in the well of help again. I take it I have to use fdisk to label
these 83's as Linux partitions but could not see how I do that. I am
guessing one of the commands in expert mode? Any suggestions using
specifics from my rescuept output would be most appreciated.

Sorry for these really simple (and somewhat off-topic) posts.
