I had a similar problem with an old TI Travelmate 6030 (P133, 32 MB). I was just trying to see if Linux would run before messing with partitions. tomsrtbt would hang after pcmcia loaded and cardmgr was attempting to probe the ports (unless I used PCMCIA=no boot param. SuSE 7.3 install or rescue also had a problem with it, not a hang, but it unloaded pcmcia. The only distro I could get to successfully load its pcmcia was Slackware (ZipSlack 8.0 in FAT dir, which uses loadlin and umsdos). Still have not figured out what the problem is with other distros. -- David Efflandt [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.de-srv.com/ http://www.autox.chicago.il.us/ http://www.berniesfloral.net/ http://cgi-help.virtualave.net/ http://hammer.prohosting.com/~cgi-wiz/
