Hello all!
I got hold of an old 5 GB tape streamer from Exabyte and of course
I tried to use it with tomsrtbt.
It's rather slow so I splittet my files to backup in 100 MB chunks
an tried to write about 50 of them to one tape.
I got stuck with cpio ("cat list-of-files | cpio -ovB > /dev/nst0")
and pax ("cat list-of-files | pax -vwdf /dev/nst0") as they both
asked me for the next volume when they finished writing the first
archive to the tape. I don't want to use tar because it's not able
to store e.g. the /dev directory.
I didn't want them to span the data to multiple volumes. Did I miss
something?
