Hello Stewart

I have 1.08 loaded at the moment but I've had a major disaster this weekend.

Because I haven't been able to use Tonto on the Mac I decided to try
ProntoEdit on my wife's laptop (Windows 2000 Pro) I don't know how I've
managed it but I've killed my Pronto completely. I connected and then
attempted to download the programs from the Pronto. A load bar moved across
the laptop's screen several times but then when I tried the Pronto it was
dead. I mean totally dead: as in it won't do a reset, there are no
responses from any of the buttons, the backlight etc. (For a more detailed
report on this tale of woe, go to:
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-pronto/list.cgi

My post is entitled, "Killed my Pronto". So far, non of the things
suggested have helped. (including removing the batteries overnight) I feel
that I may have to phone Philips tomorrow to see what can be done as it's
looking pretty grim. Any suggestions?

Geoff
