can you elaborate further on this ?

The cable should be straightforward since is only 3 pins one for the GND
and 2 for RD and TD (RX and TX) with RD being the tip of the mini stereo plug and
connected to pin 5 of the MiniDIN for the mac or to pin 2 of the DB-9 for the PC.


BTW I checked the working PC cable and is cabled exactly like that....

I believe that the cables are different for the 6000.

For some reason this comes to mind, although I'm not home right now.
