Yes. GNU Binutils 2.19 under osol snv_118 X86 and under openSUSE 11.1. 
(Binutils 2.18 under Fedora 10 yields the same behavior as the latter.)

The reason I'm asking this is that when this has come up before in the 
forums, people have suggested that this difference in behavior is going 
to go away with some future release of Binutils. But no matter which new 
release of Binutils we get into, the difference always remains.

So it looks like the difference is here to stay, and that it has 
persisted long enough for the undocumented difference to be turned into 
a documented one. (Of course, we should be grateful to a thoughtful Sun 
developer for introducing the "--divide" option into GAS: the equivalent 
does not exist in the Solaris assembler.)
