For some reason replying to Alan Coopersmith's reply in the previous thread isn't working so I'm starting up another one.

Ok, that explains why I couldn't find them. Both pkg commands work and CC and CXX can sort out the difference. It would be nice to have a full Java JDK installed, but that was an easy fix.
