Yup. I experimented with that today and found the same, so unless
mercurial changes in this respect (which might be feasible, I dunno), we'll
have to keep separate repos. That doesn't bother me too much, though, and
I think it won't be hard to switch should the opportunity arise. We should
probably tag the branch points, though.
Okay, so the current plan is continue to keep separate repos for build
snapshots (we [the tonic team] will need to come up with a way of making
these publishable/available to the external community).
So are people okay with this? I'll tag the Mercurial repository we
currently publish at the gate close point. And I can certainly publish
my list of respins/backouts if people need to reconstruct a specific
build snapshot in the meantime.
