I noticed, half the delay in merging it to onnv-scm is having to wait

meaning the merge is needing more manual verification than I would

our attention, rather than being a general 'open people' heads up)
the former there is no flag day from this to general people.
There is, in that anyone building from *any* of the Hg gates would have hit
the problem, and would have needed to wait on the closed bins for the fix to
actually work, but no, there's no more of a requirement they be in sync than
there was before.
