To: Andy, DL8LAS Re: NCC1 phaser Hello Andy, I have a NCC-1 phaser and use it mostly on 160M, but it has been useful on other bands as well. For general noise cancelling, I have a vertical noise antenna located very close to our very old and very noisy power lines and it picks up lots of noise. Using that noise antenna works pretty well for canceling power line noise picked up by my other antennas. I also can phase my 160M folded unipole against my RX antennas and cancel noise or augment signals, whichever is most helpful at the time. I have a pair of high impedance verticals that make a nice phased array with steerable nulls that has been very useful too. Finally, all my receiving antennas can be fed to either input and phased together to augment or cancel signals, whichever may be important at the time. The bottom line is that the phaser has been very useful on the low bands and I know I have worked a number of new ones on 160M that I would have missed otherwise. It's a good piece of gear that was a major improvement in my low band station. 73, Steve, AB4I
