When Dave lived in Midland.I believe he was radio officer with Mobil 
oil,or Exxon.In a thunderstorm his eme antenna got messed up.It took up 
his house roof th give you a idea of the size.Myself and a few otherd 
went over to his place and tied aluminum together so it would blow 
off.His wife was scared ot would blow down or in the neighbor's 
yard.After she got it secured we met with her and told her what we 
did.She told us"Oh I wasn't worried about it cimming down,JUST so it 
didn't get broken."she didn't want Dave on the roof in the storm,hi..He 
was a real amateur radio operator.
