I was going to mention that too. Like many old time two-meter EMEers, I
worked Dave many times, Two stand out, a two-way SSB contact and another where
I worked him on EME and tropo at the same time.
The latter was one morning when I was pointed to JA and I heard W5UN calling
CQ. Then I heard another signal on a slightly different frequency. I tuned
that one in and it was W5UN calling CQ at a slightly different time. I finally
figured out that I was hearing him off the moon with some time delay and
Doppler and off the back of my antenna on tropo. He was much stronger off the
moon.
I never logged him on topband.
