Yes, I was able to write, but not read from TBC... and I can see my
(SparqlMotion-loaded) triples from the Sesame workbench.

I am able to successfully connect to the Sesame 2 remote repository, but
again, I don't see triples. I don't get any error messages. I was able
to Fetch Repositories successfully--my store was in the list.

I just tried replacing the onejar in the TBC directory with the one from
Sesame--I can't tell that it changed anything, after restarting TBC. Are
there other steps to update TBC with a new jar?

I ran a SELECT * WHERE {?a ?b ?c} query, and I get results--but only the
standard OWL, RDF, XSD triples: none of my 'custom' triples that I see
in the Sesame workbench.

This could turn out to be a skipped step somewhere, on my part, but I
don't see what it could be.

Hmm, I have no further ideas then. The library we are using is called
openrdf-sesame-2.1.2-onejar.jar, but I assume that 2.1 is still able to
talk to 2.2 servers.

So you are saying that the write worked OK (and you can see the triples
with 3rd party software), but reading via TopBraid did not work. Can you
connect to the remote Sesame repository outside of SM, i.e. using File >
New ...?

Also, I had no problem writing to that store, from a different
SparqlMotion script. (The 'read' script is not giving any errors--it just
doesn't give any data)

Do you know which Sesame version is used by your BigOWLIM store?
TopBraid uses Sesame 2, but the last time I looked, OWLIM was still
using Sesame 1.x
