John; I believe what you have used in the past is a custom Web service
defined by a SPARQLMotion script that returned XML.  It's not clear to
me how one could get a defined resource from the server without
defining a query that states what is being sought and how the output
should be formatted.

The closest you will get to what you are looking for is the UISPIN
servlet syntax.  To do this, you need to define a file with UISPIN
definitions in it and use 
http://localhost:8083/tbl/uispin?app=...&resource=..&baseURI=...
Note that you need to tell you back-end (TopBraid Live) where to look
for the resource, and define the UISPIN file that defines the output
rendering (XML, not just XHTML).
