Using two releases at the same time is possible, as long as each is using a separate workspace created with that particular release. Also, any use of the TopBraid Live Personal Edition (for example, to try out EVN) would be messy when two copies of TopBraid Composer are open, because only one can use port 8083 of http://localhost.
There could be other potential issues. About the only time I have two releases open is if I want to compare two things in two different workspaces when I'm debugging something. Otherwise, I find it simpler and cleaner to only have one running at a time. I actually followed the second approach initially when I upgraded. At the beginning the only concern was in relation to the time to run the first time scripts. I have two different workspaces for the different versions and each one with its respective (server.topbraidlive.org, TopBraid,evn.topbraidlive.org, sample.evn.topbraidlive.org, and facet.topbraidlive.org) For about two days I could switch from 3.5.2 to 3.40 and both would work. Now I cannot really use the 3.4.0 again. I have opened the two versions together, is that any issue in doing that?
