Hello Xavier,
Sorry for my delayed reply. I thought about this, but couldn't come up
with a clean solution. My suggestion would be not to try SQL server
drivers, but instead try a jTDS JDBC driver compatible with Sybase.that
works in Java 1.6 (TBC runs on Java 1.6).

Hello Gohkan,
Thanks a lot for your help. I tried your solution, but I must precise
some points :
1°) We can do "java -jar biz.aQute.bnd.jar wrap sqljdbc4.jar" with
java 1.6. But, when I used java 1.7, it did not run.
2°) Apparently, we can not connect SyBase 15.7 with a sqlserver
drvier (TBC try to establsih a connection TCP/IP with the server, but
Sybase returns that it was not a sqlserver).
So if you have an other solution... or anybody else...
Thanks in advance,
Xavier

Hello Xavier,
TopBraid Composer SE 3.6.0B has updated instructions on setting up
JTDS drivers. It is found by going to "Help > Help Contents" from
the menu, clicking on "TopBraid Composer > Import and Export >
Import external information > Import Relational Databases with
D2RQ" and then in that page, clicking on the link at the sentence
"For MySQL or SQL Server, see separate page", which opens you a
page explaining setting up MySQL or SQL Server drivers.
From that page, here are the instructions to setup a SQL server
driver:
>>>>>
To connect to Microsoft SQL Server databases, you need to prepare
Microsoft's JDBC Driver for SQL Server
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/aa937724.aspx> for use
with the Eclipse environment using the bnd utility available here
<http://www.topquadrant.com/resources/bnd.zip> or from
TopQuadrant's Resources
<http://www.topquadrant.com/resources/resources_overview.html>
page. The download is a zip file that includes the
biz.aQute.bnd.jar utility. To use it, the following command
creates a file called sqljdbc4.bar:
java -jar biz.aQute.bnd.jar wrap sqljdbc4.jar
Rename the sqljdbc4.bar file to have a .jar extension (for
example, sqljdbc4_equinox.jar) and put it in the dropins folder of
your TopBraid installation.
For the JAR file used with any database manager, make sure that it
includes the import and export package data in MANIFEST.MF file
under META-INF folder inside the JAR.

If you can't get to the above links, I would suggest you to go to
the mentioned help page.
According to "Supported Relational Database Configurations" at
http://www.topquadrant.com/products/supportedPlatforms3.5.html
<http://www.topquadrant.com/products/supportedPlatforms3.5.html>
, Sybase and SQL Server are currently not included in TBS test
suite but known to work.

Dear List,
I need to use (industrial constraint) a SyBase database with SDB and
TopBraid SE 3.5. I saw that this type of databse is supported by
ToBraid SE if I use jtds driver. So, I downloaded it, and placed in
the "dropin" directory.
Then, as SyBase is not present in the list, I selected "SQLServer",
but I had "Cannot load JDBC driver class
'com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver''.
So, how can I connect TBSE with a SyBase database ?
Thanks in advance,
Xavier
