Alison, I believe that confusion over whether you created a new project or
not has to do with you saying that you have spin.rdf file and a spin.rdf.tbc
file in your project. These files are part of TopBraid project.

Just create a new general project, not a file. Follow the instructions I
gave exactly and take a look at the Getting Started Guide at Mom at Grand
Central Oyster Bar

Hi Scott,

Thanks for replying. I already have created a new SPIN project that I have
other files in (a spin.rdf file and a spin.rdf.tbc file) ... hence my
confusion when I try to add a .s2r file to this project and TBC makes it
read-only.

What am I missing?

Allison; you need to create a new project to add your data to. It
seems you are currently adding connector file to the TopBraid project.
This is reserved for system use. New > Project... > General > Project
to create a new project, then drag/drop your .s2r files to that
project. You should be able to open them without any warning about
being rea-only.
