We are pleased to announce a maintenance release of TopBraid Suite (TBS),
version 3.6.2. In addition to bug fixes, the key changes are as follows:
- Upgrade of D2RQ from version 0.7 to 0.8.1 which provides many bug
fixes, improved performance and support for SPARQL 1.1.
- Upgrade of SPARQL support to the SPARQL 1.1 Last Call of 24 July 2012
(with the exception of a detail of BIND semantics, which TopQuadrant has
identified as a bug in the spec, and the SPARQL Working Committee will

- Upgrade of Jena from version 2.6.4 to 2.7.2. This was necessary to
bring TopBraid up to date with the latest version of Jena and to enable
upgrade of D2RQ and support for the most recent SPARQL 1.1 features as per
the Last Call of 24 July 2012.
- Oracle RDF (Oracle Spatial 11g plus Jena Adaptor) does not yet support
this version of Jena. Thus, Oracle RDF is not supported in the 3.6.2
release. The Oracle team is actively working on an upgrade. TopQuadrant
hopes to reintroduce Oracle RDF support in the next release. Customers
requiring Oracle RDF are advised to use TBS 3.6.1 or wait for the next
release. Oracle RDBMs continues to be supported as a backend for Jena SDB.
- Improved treatment of multithreading giving fewer race conditions and
deadlocks, and improved performance on TopBraid Live.
- Preview of Enterprise Vocabulary Net 4.0 in TBC-ME using the Personal
Server. This is BETA 1 of the upcoming EVN 4.0 release. EVN 4.0 is an
updated, HTML 5-based version of the TopBraid Enterprise Vocabulary Net
solution that features a cleaner, simpler interface and no longer requires
the Adobe Flex browser plugin. For more information about EVN 4.0 see
