Don; What kind of access will you want for the versions?  If it is browsing and searching the vocabulary, then you could use instances of EVN Viewer to access the different versions.  So the workflow would be to make changes in TopBraid EVN to produce version 1.0, validate the production copy, publish 1.0 to an TopBraid EVN Viewer server, and begin work on version 1.1 in TopBraid EVN.  Repeat the procedure to publish version 1.1, etc.

HI Bob,

Thanks for the answers. I'm keeping the same numbering below as the original questions:

1. We anticipate the need for the workflow to support multiple working copies of a non-published/non-production vocabulary. But once a version of a vocabulary is published (say version 1.0), work could begin on the next version (2.0). Other associated vocabularies in development/production will want to lock-in on  and use version 1.0 of the original vocabulary. Therefore, the multiple published versions of the vocabulary will need to be available in parallel. So "making multiple production copies available at once, where some are older than others" is correct.

2 and 3) I'll watch the video's you suggest to learn more. Thanks!

We have some in house users looking at EVN, and some initial questions have arisen over the out of the box functionality. Specifically:

1. vocabulary versioning. what mechanisms are used (or available) to tag, store and evolve multiple versions of a given vocabulary? I.e., is there something more than store-it-in-SVN available within the tool? We anticipate having multiple versions of a given vocabulary at any given time actively in use.

2. Is full text search on and across vocabularies supported? E.g., I type in "Dog" and find all vocabulary terms with the word Dog in them or associated with them in comments.

3. Does the auditing functionality support logging of:
  a. who performs an action
  b. when the action is performed
  c. what action was performed
