Yes, please see http://topquadrant.com/topbraid/evn/42doc/adminguide.html#advanced-evn-debugging.  The overall procedure is to create the vocabularies in EVN.  This creates the proper metadata for change management, etc., in a set of connector files.  The files have no data, just connectors to the data back-end set up in the EVN Server Configuration page.

Then copy the
Vocabulary project (again see the ServerConfiguration in the EVN Server Configuration page) to your TopBraid Composer desktop application.  Use Import... > General > Existing Projects into Workspace to copy these connectors into Composer's workspace.

The connectors will point to the same data as in EVN, so you can change in Composer, save, then refresh the browser in EVN to see your changes.  Going he other way around, if changes are made in EVN, them close the connector file in Composer and choose Model > 'Refresh all caches and views' to refresh the cache on Composer side (basically the equivalent of a browser cache refresh).

Derek; Did you follow the link for "EVN Configuration?"  Do that and add information about your relational back-end for SDB, user name, password, license key and the project you will store the vocabulary connectors in.  Then you will be able to create a new vocabulary.

Hi Holger,

I get "

Create New Vocabulary

Error: No relational database has been configured yet to work with SDB. Please use the EVN Configuration administration page as described in the documentation."

So what do I do then?

Cheers

Dear users,

for those who are using SDB and have downloaded TopBraid 4.2.0, please be aware that we have discovered a problem with the creation of new SDB databases and EVN graphs. This problem may lead to loss of data because some named graphs may be overwritten. We are working on a fix and will roll out 4.2.1 as soon as possible, but in the meantime

*please do not use TopBraid 4.2.0 in conjunction with SDB*.

Note this includes EVN which uses SDB.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep you posted.
