Hi Werner, It appears that the jar file contained in the spin-2.0.0-distribution.zip archive on the website is corrupt.
The jar is also available as a direct download: http://www.topquadrant.com/repository/spin/org/topbraid/spin/2.0.0/spin-2.0.0.jar <http://www.topquadrant.com/repository/spin/org/topbraid/spin/2.0.0/spin-2.0.0.jar> Replace the jar from the zip archive with this one, and it should work.
