Thanks for the report, and to Richard for the detective work. The .jar
in the .zip was indeed corrupted, for unknown reasons. I tried to
rebuild it twice (from two different machines), yet it didn't work. So I
ended up creating that .zip by hand, based on the .jar that happened to
be OK. Unless I hear from anyone who knows Maven better than I do, this
feels like a Maven bug.
The new (fixed) zip file is now online.

2. Error message is "XY can't be resolved to a type."
3. I used KennedysInferencingAndConstraintsExample.java from the
examples folder of the spin distribution zip. All of the
SPIN-specific Classes can't be imported.
I know this sounds like a build path problem (ie. SPIN is not in the
build path), but I can see that SPIN is in the build path in the
project's tree structure!
