Hi Chu,

I also experienced some performance issues while working on a SysML model under
Topcased 2.3.

Switching to Topcased 2.5 helped a lot. Maybe you should try that.

Regards,
Martin

Objet : [Topcased-users] [UML] Performance issue when opening a big UML model
diagram

Hi all,
We've been using a very big UML model in our project with Topcased 2.3. This
model is divided hierarchally (by "control" functionality) into many sub models
(about 80 of them). When we open the root model diagram, Topcased also loads
all of the sub models. So this operation runs very slowly now, even the root
model diagram contains only a small model.
So we have a few questions:

+ Is this "open" process above is normal? Can we somehow tune it?
+ Why does Topcased need to load the sub models, instead of using proxy (which
the EMF's UML editor does very well)?

We have also discussed with Etienne Juliot from Obeo but we haven't found a
solution for this issue yet. So any help will be really appreciated!
Thanks in advance and regards,
Chu
