Dear Topcased users,

I am currently trying to use the requirements functionalities of Topcased in a
productive environment. In my "learning-by-doing" I have stumbled upon some
questions which I would like to post here, in the hope that somebody can help
me out.

1. "Unlink requirement model": What is the result of this action? Is the link
from the current to the upstream requirements lost? Can I still do an update of
the upstream requirements afterwards?
2. I have seen in the tutorial that it is possible to have several upstream
requirements documents (p.30 in TPC_5.0_Requirement_tutorial.pdf). What I am
looking for is a way to have several "current requirements" models linked to
one upstream requirements model. I have a situation where I have some upstream
requirements = requirements for the complete system, and am trying to refine
this into requirements for the subsystems, which in my eyes would mean creating
separate "current" requirements models for each subsystem. But I cannot find a
way to create new "current requirements" models (if I click on "Attach
Requirements" then I cannot edit the Requirement Model Name). I think the
workflow is not clear to me. Can somebody expand a bit on this?

Since the second point is so relevant for the work with this tool, I will try
to make it more clear. The workflow I was expecting is as follows:

(SR: system responsible, SSR: subsystem responsible)

1. SR: Import upstream requirements (= the requirements for the system as a
black box with interfaces)
2. SR: Identify and model an architecture that fullfills the requirements from
the upstream model
3. SR: create sets of requirements for each subsystem (= the requirements for
each subsystem as a black box with interfaces). Each of this sets should be a
separate requirements model that can be later on the upstream requirements
model for the SSR.
4. Iterate starting with point 1 on a subsystem level.

Does this somehow represent the process foreseen by the requirements tool
developers?

I would very much appreciate any help, since I am trying to establish Topcased
in my project and am currently at a loss as to how to proceed with my
requirements.

Best regards
Rodrigo
