Hy,

Thanks for your explanation, I will look to your link and the tool you suggest.

However, the same question could be asked for node, communication path and so
on.

Using topcased, we should draw classe but we using them as instance no ?

  Subject: [Topcased-users] Deployment specification

  Hello Michael,

Yes, you are right. It is a kind of class, Artifact. Please refer section
10.3 of UML spec. You will find that one can have attributes and operations
defined for artifact and its instances can be created. Artifacts can also
participate in composition and/or association relationships. See also: Figure
10.2 - The elements defined in the Artifacts package.

I don't know of many tools that will allow to create an instance from a
deployment specification. Saw one example on Enterprise Architect by Sparx
Systems.

Meanwhile see good explanations and examples on deployment diagrams here:
  http://www.uml-diagrams.org/deployment-diagrams-overview.html

    Hy,

I tried too and as Gajendra, I did not find how to display a specification
property : is it a bug ? If yes , is it opened ?

But I have a more simple question (maybe)

When using topcased I create an artifact or a deployment specification, is
it a class or an instance ?
According to figure 10.11 of superstructuure file, I think that it is a
class, so how to create an instance of deployment specification ?

Again according to figure 10.11 the name of the deployment specification as
to be underline if it is an instance.

PS :I join the extract of superstructure file with the figure 10.11
