Issue 124: TortoiseHG is completely broken http://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/stable/issue/124/tortoisehg-is-completely-broken
bbbaga on Tue, 24 Mar 2009 20:24:24 +0100: Comment: Thanks a lot - i am back in business! I uninstalled THG and found some files left on the machine (list attached). Two individual files looked harmless and i left them, but i removed dir %APPDATA%\TortoiseHg. That did the trick - after i installed 0.7.2 again, all seems to work. "hg verify" didn't report any problems (not sure if it is 100% conclusive). From now on i will try to have only one dialog open, or at least close them one-by-one - inconvenient, but safer? I am not sure what you mean by "histselect tracebacks" - but it is unlikely that it is fixed in 0.7, because this is the version where all my troubles began. I would consider the fact that simultaneous closing of many dialogs can cause serious trouble (unusable THG) pretty important, because it is very easy to do, at least in windows. This is definitely a bug. Also, i think that while some settings files can live through uninstall, lock files are definitely not of that kind. And i would try to make sure they don't live through reboot either. Could be enhancement? Anyway, thanks for your help - as far as i am concerned, issue is closed.
