I haven't checked if this has already been brought up somewhere, but I wonder if it would make sense to integrate information about the state of the working dir into the changelog dialog.
My wild idea is to treat the working dir like a virtual revision (it's the revision that the user is about to commit anyway) and display that as an extra "revision node" in the graph on the top. Of course this "virtual revision" would be special, as there is no such thing as a revision number, no changeset id, user, date or description (but having an editable description in a file somewhere that is used as a default for the next commit might be another idea). At least it does have one or two parent revisions. And selecting that "working dir node" could show the modified / added / removed files in the bottom left pane and the diffs for the modified files in the bottom right pane. Today, we just have the summary of the parent revision of the working dir underlined. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Tortoisehg-develop mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/tortoisehg-develop
