Interesting. win32mbcs is wrapping os.path.abspath() and trying to convert
it's arguments to unicode.
In this case, the argument is repo.wjoin('.hgignore'). I don't know why that
conversion fails. The path is obviously valid to python, since the dialog is
updating the .hgignore file.
This call to abspath() happens in the shell_notify() function, which doesn't
affect any normal functionality.
I can catch the abort there and prevent this traceback. Seems a bit messy,
though.
