Issue 67: THG conflicts with other python applications http://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/stable/issue/67/thg-conflicts-with-other-python
Steve Borho / sborho on Thu, 9 Apr 2009 16:56:20 +0200: Comment: Hi Mark, we've actually borrowed quite a bit of bzr GUI code already (our history browser and annotate pane must look a little familiar). There are two separate efforts: TK is reproducing your approach of a C++ extension which communicates with a Python process. The CuteHg project (also here on bitbucket) has implemented pure C++ extensions for their project. It reads the Mercurial dirstate file directly for the overlays. I don't know how well this works today, but it does appear promising. I would like to have this settled by 0.8 (July 1), but I haven't had time to devote to this myself yet. -- This is an issue notification from bitbucket.org.
