(^-^) I'm trying to involve my team into moving from SVN to Mercurial and TortoiseHg, at the moment, seems the most user-friendly solution since it's very similar to SVN one. But on the opposite, they sometimes say: "since it's (almost) the same, why bothering change?". The overlay icons are useful while their information is update and sometimes happens (very much frequently on SVN) that they aren't (and this bother my team very much. Indeed they sometimes are useful since they are an immediate view of the status. It's also true that I always have the repo explorer almost always open so I seldom look at the icons... Even if my "vote" it's pretty useless...
