No idea. Never seen that here. What VM product was that? (just curious, of course this should not matter). I have tested installing on a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 in a virtual machine of Sun VirtualBox. Worked fine here as well in VirtualBox VM's for Windows 7 Ultimate x86, Vista Ultimate SP2 (tested x64 and x86), Windows XP x86 SP3 and Windows XP x64 SP2 (apparently, there is no SP3 for XP x64). I'm running Sun VirtualBox 3.1.4.
