If that's the case, then why were all the files marked changed when
all I did was pull from the subversion repository?

If the files were left alone by default, I wouldn't expect them to all
be marked modified.

That's why I'm confused.

Leaving it alone implies leaving it unmodified.

OK, looking at this, it implies that I have to commit to my subversion
repository a file called .hgeol.  I'd rather not pollute the
subversion repository with mercurial configuration files.

How do I get mercurial svn extension to just leave the files alone, or
follow the svn:eol-style properties in the subversion repository?
