Thanks, MJ - updated http://tickets.teachingopensource.org/issues/1 so the infra team can see everything in one place. > Could someone broaden the description on > http://mail.teachingopensource.org/mailman/listinfo/tos > to talk about FOSS and not only "Open Source", please? I think this is a good and reasonable idea, for the reasons MJ explained - so I popped it into http://tickets.teachingopensource.org/issues/2 but can't think of a good way to revise the text. The current text: A list for discussions about teaching Open Source -- part of the teachingopensource.org collaboration point, which is a place to work out Open Source educational models, support and funding schemes, community relationships, and other issues, and to advocate for the changes that are necessary to further the goal of teaching Open Source. Any interested persons are welcome to join. Suggested revision (still feels a little awkward to me): The main discussion list for teachingopensource.org collaborators - anyone interested in teaching Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS/FOSS/OSS) community participation in an academic setting is welcome. We are teachers, professors, students, TAs, community members, industry representatives, instructional designers, and more, and work together from our various institutions and projects on open source educational models, support and funding schemes, community relationships, and other issues, and to advocate for the changes that are necessary to further the goal of teaching Open Source.
