Well, Peter, you're not the only one who forgot about Malta Paul's
posting. It slipped my mind as well. So, once again belatedly, my humble
opinions (for what they're worth) ;o)
Best Bits In Madness Songs
Best Vox: "Yesterday's Men". Madness vocals at their best. Soft and
reflective, as befitted the album.
Best Sax: "One Better Day". I have to agree with Peter on this one. Lovely
mellow sax, proving you don't have to blow the hell out of it.
Best Drums: "The Harder They Come". That intro bit which recurs at the
start. I just dig the rhythm, man.
Best Piano: "Are You Coming (With Me)". That piano solo in the middle. I
just love that jazz-type clash of naturals and flats.
Best Guitar: "Shut Up". It's very Rock 'n' Roll and I like it ;o)
Best Bass: "Our House". Peter's said it all. Superb!
Best Chorus: "Johnny The Horse". Sorry folks, but I think you can't beat a
bit of good-old fashioned pop.
Stay Mad 8-)
