Evening All,

Much as I`m disappointed at JTH not cracking the top 40 this week -
hopefully next week things will change - the blame for this must surely rest
squarely on Virgin. Let`s face it, Virgin`s attitude appears to have been
lousy from the start!
A week before Lovestruck was released they allowed it to be included on Now
43, in my opinion a marketing disaster as the casual buyer wasn`t going to
buy Now 43 then fork out again for the single a week later!
As has been pointed out many times, publicity from Virgin with regard to JTH
has been virtually non-existent!
I also feel that Virgin made a major, major mistake in agreeing to put all
the tracks from Wonderful on the net a week before release also yet again no
publicity for the album! OK, you, me and all the die-hard fans will still
buy Wonderful but the average Joe in the street won`t! If you were a casual
fan of a band and came across an entire new album on the net, for free,
would you then go out a week later and buy the CD when you already have it
for nothing!!!

All in all I think the marketing department at Virgin should be ashamed of
themselves for this fiasco and also kicking themselves for the hundreds, if
not thousands, of sales they have casually thrown away!!

Mike H
