Hello Simesy and all you Maddies,
Right, here's my top 5 tracks from "Wonderful". This has proved to be very
different, which says a lot about the quality of this album.
1. Elysium - Sheer class. No other way to describe this. The most
mesmerising piano-playing ever. Probably getting close to being in my all
time top 5. The classiest record I've heard in years.
2. Lovestruck - The big comeback. The song which reduced me to an emotional
wreck when I first saw them perform it on TFI Friday. Everything you want
in a Madness record is here. The piano, the melody, the black lyrics hidden
behind a singalong chorus.
3. The Communicator - Where's the dancefloor???
4. No Money - Brilliant chorus on this one. And a lovely uptempo ending to
the album.
5. Drip Fed Fred - I like this one more now hearing it on the album than I
did when I first heard it on the promo. I still think it stops too many
times to be the perfect pop song, but that's a pretty small gripe really.
Cheers for now,
Peter
