Okay. Finally found the cd here in Boston yesterday. Newbury Comics had both
the UK and Japanese imports at only a $4.00 difference in price. Obviously I
picked up the Japanese version. Now that I have listned to the album at
least 10 times I feel qualified to list my top five tracks.
In order:
1) The Wizard
Perfect. One of the ten best tracks I've heard this year (and considering
I spend approx. $100-$200/wk. on music, that's saying a lot). It doesn't get
much better or more catchy than this. Up there with Ghost Train and IMBL as
one of my favorite tracks by them.
2) Lovestruck
Great comeback single. Made me salivate for the whole album.
3)Johnny The Horse
What happened in the UK with this single? Easily another top ten hit.
4) Drip Fed Fred
Unique. Stand out track that's still fun after many listenings.
5) Saturday Night Sunday Morning
Another fun pop track. I keep catching myself humming it at work today.
FYI, I would have put You're Wonderful at number 4, but as it's only on the
Jap. pressing, I didn't feel it was appropriate.
Take care,
Scott Moore
