Hi All,
Read this in The Sunday Telegraph on 14th November 1999, and was wondering if this has
been plagiarised from an article previously posted to the list (I think it sounds
similar to an article, from up the UK way, I read about a month ago)?
If so, could somebody send it to me (off list on [EMAIL PROTECTED]) so I can
forward it to the editor.
Anyway, here it is.
WONDERFUL, Madness (Virgin): Our
house, in the middle of the road. Is that wrong?
Not if applied to the latest offering by over-the-hill
ska puppies Madness. It's a shame to see a once-
great band - together for 20 years and with 21 hit
singles under their belts - end up this way,
milking their former glory for all it's worth to
make a few quid to put extensions on their homes.
If you've heard the first single, Lovestruck, that's
about as good as it gets - a tepid hybrid of bland
pop and ska. They should be sued for false
advertising over the album's title 4/10
- BATE PARSONS
I'm uncertain if this so called reporter has listened to the album the article would
have been different (probably thinks that "Johnny the Horse" is about something
totally removed from the death of a homeless man!!!!!!!).
If you are interested it contacting the editorial staff directly, their website is at

See ya.
