There's been a lot of negativie thoughts regarding the bands future on
here in the past 24 hours. It's funny, I've seen the words "lack of
interest" mentioned, but the existence of this news letter obviously
proves that wrong.
Look at bands such as UB40, vastly inferior to Madness, relying on
deconstructions of reggae classics, but whose future, despite lack of
chart hits is never questioned.
Every popular band in existence goes through this slow decline in
chart placings (unless that give up of course). It's nothing to be
ashamed of, just a sign of changing audiences and taste (and promotional cock ups).
I don't believe this is the last we'll hear of the Madnificent 7. They
are still young, and remember, Suggs once said he'd have as many
comebacks as Frank Sinatra had syrups! Still plenty in reserve then1
