Well, my two penn'orth says it could do well, if they promote it
properly. I agree it's not necessarily the best song left on the album to
release. The only ones that might have a chance of charting would be the
more pop-py ones, something like 'SNSM', or possibly 'TW'. The arguments
that both Vince & Sarah outlined in their mails apply equally to 'TC'. Those
who I've spoken to before about this know my feelings. If 'DFF' is too
Maddies-only, then 'TC' definitely falls into that category. Let's face it,
we all love the album and we all love the Madness roots, but is 'TC' the
forward step that is going to appeal to the casual listener?
'DFF' can be a hit, if it's promoted correctly. Was I the only one who
realised that Madness appeared twice on TOTP with 'L' (pre-release week and
release week), and not at all for 'JTH'? The band did a lot of personal
appearances before 'JTH' was released, but on the more obscure programmes (I
mean breakfast TV @ 09:00, hello! the kids are at school!)
Just thought I'd get that off my chest.

Stay Mad 8-)
