Sorry chaps
Gotta disagree with the naysayers. DFF is pure unadulterated Madness. It's
uniqueness is a great advantage, and I have to say it is nothing like
Driving in My Car. Not even in character.
I think a single version would benefit from some editing but if that can be
done without affecting the character of the song (and I think it can) we
have a hit. I think it's a song that grabs your attention, and that will
draw the elusive "casual buyer".
The not getting it bit just isn't relevant, It's catchy it's funny and even
the mime and dance routines junkies might get caught on the novelty value of
the song, and if that get's them interested in the rest of what the lads
have done so much the better.
Re Jeffs letter. I think the reason people are getting a bit serious about
things, is that without chart success we might not get more new material.
Gotta take that seriously.
Afterall they've still got Marvellous, brilliant , fantastic stupendous and
a whole host of superlatives as album titles to get through yet.
Yours
An Madness Fan aka
Kev
