I know this may be a rehashed question (two questions, actually) but I never
got a clear answer on any of them so here goes again... 1) what WAS the real
reason behind Madness not participating in the original Live Aid back in
1985? It can't be as was said that they weren't even asked cos if THAT's the
case, it's hard to be believed that the most popular Brit band of the 80s
could have been overlooked (with all due respect to him cos he's one of my
all-time faves, even a lacklustre, chart-free Adam Ant was asked!). I DID
hear at the time that they were out of the country but again it's hard to
believe that they were shall we say unreachable! 2) Whatever happened to
Seamus whatsisname... the guy who took over the tickling of ver ivories from
Barso on Mad Not Mad and was on the 'Uncle Sam' vid and also had a part in
The Madness album? Thanks for any input ~~ Tennessee Paul
