Review of McMadmeet 2 Day One (Part 2) So as Rob says, we tried to take it to Left Luggage, no luck there, so we walk back from the station to the oub, with Glasgows finest baffled at just who Fred is. It was then i heard the familiar voice of Mr Iain 'threads' Mason. Back to OHenrys, in comes more of Laras family, and the gang is all here! a quick trip back to Mr.Gs flat with VFF placard and back to the pub to watch the Everton game! Next port of call was O'Niells pub, and what agreat time was had in there..they didnt play and Madness, so we solved that problem by singing the songs ourselves. By this time, The Doc was dancing in amongst the other people totally out of his head (has to be said, mate). Just for the record, the bloke dressed as a chicken and the guy dressed as a rabbit were in actual fact real, and not drink-inspired visions. After a rendition of New York New York by a few of our Number we headed off downstairs to the music room. Got off to a good start but deteriorated with the ugly incident when someone turned on Rob. I was sickened that it happened to a mate and sickened when the police did F all and turned on us! A little bit of shine had been taken off the evening by a Glasgow dreg. But hopefully it didnt ruin a good night for all. Also of note, was Peter's untimely ejection from the club. I noticed something was going on when a bouncer was standing next to Peter while he looked for his jacket (which, was actually in the cloakroom, he forgot and was rooting through a bunch of lassie's coats.) So, I bid goodnight to the two girls with whom i had been invited to dance with (being a gentleman, i could hardly refuse, no? Especially when it turned out the liked Madness.) and so ended the night...not before a glass of 'Verve' in MrG's house! In the morning, Peter, Rob and myself bid farewell to Colin, and set off with my Vote For Fred placard on the way home..many strange looks, a mouthed F*** off from a passing driver, and a joke from an old man which quite frankly died on its arse even before he finished it, because he thought it was an anti smoking placard.
