I'm sorry if this is a little off topic, but I'm sure someone can help me
out.
A friend of mine let me borrow one of his CD's, The best of 2Tone, and
there are plenty of fantasstic songs on it. The thing that's bugging me is
what is the difference between The Specials and The Special aka?
I think I can help.
They released there first 3 singles 'Gansters' 'Message to you rudie' and
the 'Specials A.K.A live' under the name 'Special A.K.A.'. After that they
changed to just 'Specials' but when Terry Hall, Neville Staples and Lynval
Golding left the band there reffered to the old name of 'Special A.K.A.'
I hope this clears it up
But before they were even called the 'Special A.K.A.' the were called the
'Coventry Automatics' and then 'The Coventry Specials' but thats more than
what you asked for!!!
Thanks to Tennessee Paul I Think i would like to be continued being called
'The Adamson' It seems to have a sence of power about it!!!!!!
