Hi everyone... Let me tell you, friends, I am truly sick of the attitude shown on the TMML in the past couple of weeks. Sure, the list gets off track every now and then. With nearly 500 subscribers, many of them new, it is bound to happen. What's disturbing is the people who have been on the list for well over a year, who know the drill, etc. and continue to add their off-topic posts. I can deal with the complaints, that is in part why I'm here along with the other moderators. (Thank you to those who have directed their comments to the proper address rather than the list. It is appreciated!) What I have a hard time dealing with are the whiners that believe they're owed this service and have absolutely nothing to contribute. To them I have this to say: If you don't like this list... leave. Simple. It couldn't be easier. Today we received some slanderous comments about the moderators from someone on the list. We are not entirely sure what you're going on about but we certainly will not tolerate your malicious words. We devote a lot of time to this list's operation and regard dealing with childish bantering such as yours a complete waste. We were more than happy to see the back of you after you caused trouble with your sarcastic and rude comments in August '99. I repeat: If you don't like the list... leave. Easy. I will continue to help out as long as I'm needed and I enjoy doing so for the 95 percent of the people that appreciate it. This list is a great thing and I honestly can't say I've ever met a TMMLer that I didn't like. Some of you have gone above and beyond to show great generosity and kindness to me and I thank you for it. I reiterate: 1. If you don't like the list... leave. 2. Off-topic posts are consuming the list. If you have been warned, don't do it again unless you care to be removed. 3. Thanks for your attention & cooperation! Please carry on with the wonderful conversation we've been lacking lately. Now let's get back on track, shall we? We have an awful lot to look forward to this month and beyond... many interesting topics of discussion and the opportunity to share viewpoints about our favorite band from around the world.
